
Digital Health: Regional Opportunities and Challenges in Lower Austria
The aim of the event is to network stakeholders from administration, science, business, and care in the health sector and to jointly develop solutions to current challenges in the Lower Austrian health sector.
Organised under the umbrella of the Vanguard Initiative, along with the East Netherlands and North-East Romania regions, this event is part of the Science meets Regions program funded by the Joint Research Center (JRC). The aim of the initiative is to stimulate interregional collaboration in order to find solutions to problems of common interest at the European level, facilitate the digital transition and implement mechanisms to reduce the negative effects that the COVID-19 pandemic has on society.
During this two-day event, participants will learn about the latest trends in the digital transformation of the health sector, funding opportunities, best practice examples from other European regions, and innovative ways to find solutions to complex challenges.
In interactive innovation labs, participants will jointly work on innovative healthcare solutions in the following thematic areas:
- Ambient Assisted Living
- Tele health
- Research in health technologies
- IT systems of health care providers
